Flisk, Meddler

Frontline, Melee

A master of illusion, Flisk manipulates the battlefield too quickly for any foe to respond in time.

For cunning players who enjoy complex mind games and deception.

Blend In:

Allied heroes in the target area will gain a short-duration buff that renders them invisible, as long as they are close to any other non-invisible unit.

Carving Scythe:

Hurls a scythe in the target direction, damaging and wounding the first enemy struck, and lopping off several chunks of meat. The meat chunks (powerup items) can be eaten by any hero; eating all of them will restore health equal to the damage dealt. The scythe will not pass through trees, destroying the first one it hits and disappearing, but otherwise has infinite range.

Switcheroo!:

Switch places with the target allied unit, granting temporary 'Blend In' to both of you. If Flisk or the target unit are currently visible, illusions will be spawned to mask the switch.

Ochlomania:

Instantly gain a short 'Blend In' buff while summoning a trio of Flisk illusions, all of which start running in different directions. These illusions can be manually controlled, and will deal a portion of Flisk's damage if ordered to attack. Alternatively, Flisk can follow one of the illusions while blended in if he wants to escape.

Ultimate: Camaraderie

Shares your inventory with a target allied hero for up to 20 seconds, or until you become over 900 distance apart. Both heroes will effectively enjoy a 12-slot inventory, with full bonuses from all items.

Notes:

  • Flisk is a very slippery hero, though not all that interesting from an illusions perspective: it's basically never going to be the real him.
  • He is pretty squishy, and dies easily to AoE if he can't Switcheroo! away.
  • Carving Scythe can be thrown from a distance, but unless it kills or someone is there to contest the meat, the enemy can just pick their health back up and have taken no damage.
  • Flisk's original concept had a very complex set of mechanics, which eventually had to be scrapped because Warcraft wasn't handling it well.
  • Camaraderie is one of the least used ultimates in the game, despite being insanely overpowered on paper. This is probably because the ability is a bit awkward to aim, and the planned visuals linking the two heroes were never added.
  • Throwing Carving Scythe in the right direction will cause it to fly off the map, and loop back around indefinitely.
  • Ochlomania illusions apply attack modifiers, which has been the primary focus of many Flisk builds. Lattice is a particularly nice item on him for this reason.
  • The Ochlomania illusions are actually immortal, and can be used to distract enemy troops approaching a tower.
